Moulin Rouge
11.30.03 (7:55 am)   [edit]
I just recently rented "Moulin Rouge" which I'd never seen before and never really heard anything about, I just picked it up at the library while browsing the DVD's. It was AMAZING!! I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone above the age of 13 (It's rated PG-13 for good reasons) especially if you like musicals, but even if you don't, you'll be smiling and crying through all of it the first time you watch it, and singing along the second. (In the past 2 days I've watched it 3 times). I'm asking for the soundtrack for Christmas!!

merry halloween
11.01.03 (6:43 am)   [edit]
I actually had a really fun Halloween. All week I've been moaning and moping about how I have nothing to do this Friday and it's going to be the worst halloween ever, but it turned out to be GREAT! (Hence the major layout reform. It'll change with my mood. Right now I'm happy and giddy, so... Jack Sparrowness.)

Anyway, first I didn't even go home, I went to my friends house and we watched movies for a long time and talked and stuff. I don't do that very often, see. Talk, I mean. So that was great, and then I came home and watched The Ring  with some other friends which was a huge mistake and resulted in no sleep last night but was fun when we were watching it. We were practically in each others lap. That is definitely the scariest movie I have ever seen! Holy crap, it's scary.... So that was my Halloween. Didn't go trick-or-treating cause I didnt't really care. You probably don't care but it's just I was so happy yesterday and so content right now, and I'm hardly ever happy like that.

trust no one
10.27.03 (5:12 pm)   [edit]
I never trust anyone on the Internet. I've heard too many horror stories about internet stalkers, therefore you will probably never read here my full name or the full name of anybody I know or any clear references to where I live. For all you know I could be a little nano-byte living in phone lines and not a person at all.

friendship
10.27.03 (5:03 pm)   [edit]
I hate school so much. If it weren't for my friends -- I have some, though very few -- I would abhor it unbearably. My friends are the dearest things to me, especially A. If I didn't have him, or my other friends I don't know what I would do, because I don't have anything else except my ridiculous fantasy world and my books.

horrible day
10.27.03 (4:46 pm)   [edit]
Bad day. The kind where you come home from school and want to cry for a while without exactly knowing why. Didn't do my homework. Oh well. I can do it tomorrow morning.

Life advice
10.26.03 (1:16 pm)   [edit]
It sounds cliche but we really do have to [i]carpe diem[/i]. When the opportunity came to me I did not seize it; I fled, and now I am forever bound to ceaseless wondering what might have happened had I not run away. I might have been hurt but I also might have been loved, and now I'll never know.
What if we each get only one chance? It's my chance gone?

Everyone Dies
10.25.03 (9:44 am)   [edit]
Everyone dies. Have you noticed? People die all the time, and it always hurts, until I start thinking: If we are all going to die, then what's the point of ever living at all?

Then I don't really hurt, or feel much of anything.

::happy!::
09.26.03 (3:59 pm)   [edit]
I'm ::happy::! No braces! I got my braces off! Then I came home and found that Dad's friend came and fixed up the Internet at our house! Then we ordered pizza! We never order pizza! Little things in life! Wee!

Spirited Away (more obsession)

This is the greatest song! It's from the greatest movie! [u]Spirited Away[/u]. It's my favorite movie. And I just love this song. I just can't express how much I love this movie!! I love this movie!

"Itsumo Nando-Demo/Always With Me"

lyrics by Wakako Kaku

music and performance by Youmi Kimura

[i]Somewhere, a voice calls, in the depths of my heart
May I always be dreaming, the dreams that move my heart

So many tears, of sadness, uncountable through and through
I know on the other side of them, I'll find you.

Every time we fall down to the ground, we look up to the blue sky above
We wake to its blueness, as for the first time
Though the road is long and lonely, and the end far away out of sight
I can watch these two arms, embrace the light.

As I bid farewell, my heart stops, in tenderness I feel
My silent, empty body begins to listen to what is real
The wonder of living, the wonder of dying
The wind, town and flowers, we all dance one unity.

Somewhere, a voice calls, in the depths of my heart
Keep dreaming your dreams, don't ever let them part

Why speak of all your sadness, or of life's painful woes
Instead, let the same lips sing a gentle song for you.

The whispering voice, we never want to forget, in each passing memory
Always there to guide you

When a mirror has been broken, shattered pieces scattered on the ground
Glimpses of new life, reflected all around.

Window of beginning, stillness, new light of the dawn
Let my silent, empty body be filled and reborn

[b]No need to search outside, nor sail across the sea
Cause here shining inside me, it's right here inside me
I've found a brightness, it's always with me.[/b][/i]

FOOTBALL GAME!!!
09.20.03 (2:07 pm)   [edit]
Oh, yeah, I went to the big FOOTBALL GAME last night -- my high school against our town rivals!! The thing is, we, North, are the academic school, and South is the big sports school... and we uh... we haven't won a football game since 1988 against South. We had a losing streak of 17 games with them. So when we won last night!! Big fun!! I don't even like football! I hate sports, and so do all my friends! But we were jumping around and screaming anyway!!!! And we beat them in their own field, and then stormed the field afterwards in a big mosh pit!!!!!! Great fun! And I bought a lolipop!

no rhyme or reason
09.20.03 (2:04 pm)   [edit]
in case you haven't noticed, there is no rhyme or reason to my blogging. i just post random things, whatever I think about! who am I talking to, I wonder? That's a scary thought. I don't know who's reading this. The Internet is big and dangerous.

Buffy memories
09.20.03 (2:03 pm)   [edit]
I thought the first seasons of Buffy were the best. They were funny and heartbreaking and angsty and really really sad, like this part in "Innocence" -- my favorite episode of all time:

[image]Emlyn_241492064.jpg[/image]

[i]Cut to the living room in Buffy's house. "Stowaway", an old black-and-
white movie with Alice Faye and Robert Young, is playing on TV. The
actors are dancing slowly, and the woman is singing "Goodnight, My Love"
to the man.

Lyrics: Goodnight, my love / My moment with you now is ending / It was
so heavenly holding you close to me

Joyce comes in holding a plate with two cupcakes, one with a candle, and
a large coffee mug.

Joyce: Did I miss anything?

Buffy: Um... just some singing and some running around.

Joyce sets down the plate and mug and looks around for the matches.

Joyce: Mm. I'm sorry I didn't have time to make you a real cake. (finds
the matches)

Buffy: No. This is good.

Joyce sits back on the couch with her feet up.

Joyce: But we're still going shopping on Saturday. (Buffy looks at her)
So what'd you do for your birthday? Did you have fun?

Buffy: (looks down, then back up) I got older.

Joyce: (looks into her face) You look the same to me.

She leans back to the table and strikes a match to light the candle. The
wick starts to burn and she blows out the match. She sets the matchbook
and spent match on the table and leans back on the couch again facing
her daughter.

Joyce: Happy Birthday. (smiles) I don't have to sing, do I?

Buffy: (looks down at her hands) No.

Joyce: (indicates the burning candle) Well, go on, make a wish.

Buffy stares at it for a long moment.

Buffy: I'll just let it burn.

Joyce reaches up and strokes her daughter's hair. Buffy leans over and
rests her head on her mother. Joyce continues gently stroking Buffy's
hair. The song in the movie comes to an end.

Lyrics: Sleep tight, my love / Goodnight, my love / Remember that
you're mine, sweetheart[/i]

Birds of a feather...
09.20.03 (1:51 pm)   [edit]
Birds of a feather flock together. I never realized this was true until I realized that a lot of the people who make X-Files websites also have a Buffy website, and those people have LotR websites, and THEY have HP websites.... and X-Files fan fiction writers do things like make William go to Hogwarts and also I read a story once called "Lily Potter: the Vampire Slayer".
These are my obsessions. Oh, yeah, and PotC, obviously, but who DOESN'T like PotC?? (besides the critics, they don't count!)

wat ru duin? lmaolol!!
brb, ttyl
I made up my own language. It's called Pig-Russian. It's just like Pig Latin, only instead of 'ay' you add 'achka' or 'enka' randomly. For example, 'for example' would be 'orfenka exampleachka'. Doesn't that sound Russian?
ttyl
I must admit that web-speak annoys me. It makes ppl look uneducated and s2pid. lol!
savvy?
